This elegant and incisive Pinot Grigio finds an exclusive dimension among the stones of the Alpi Carniche, in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Our choice to produce just a few bunches per grapevine allows this wine to boast its full expressiveness.
Production area: Alpi Carniche in the high Grave Friulana. Soil composition: loose, well aired soil, mainly composed of characteristic calcareous white colored river stones brought here by the flooding by the Meduna brook. Growing systems: guyot and casarsa with rigorous winter pruning and intervention on the vegetation to keep the production under control. Modern integrated pest and soil management respecting the environment. Harvest: from the first 10 days of September. Vinification: fractional pressing of whole grapes with soft airbag pressing. Fermentation at controlled temperature and maturation in stainless steel. Sensory profile: golden yellow in colour. Delicate bouquet of pears and mature apples. It evolves with scents of dry hay and toasted almond. Round and smooth on the palate. Food pairings: Excellent as an aperitif. It goes well also with delicate appetizers and light first courses, risotti, white meat, roast and baked fish. Service temperature: 10-12 °C.
Food Pairing: This sweet and aromatic wine is well-matched with desserts at the end of a meal and with the classic hazelnut nougat. It is an ideal companion in moments of celebration and a pleasantly refreshing drink at any time of the day, including after playing sports.
